HP Indigo ElectroInk is not a standard inkjet or toner. It is a liquid electrophotographic process that produces colour density and sharpness closer to flexographic or offset print than standard digital. That matters for supplement facts panels, small-font text and barcodes - where a digital press using cheaper technology can produce readable-but-not-reliable results.

Variable Data Printing - Serialisation and Traceability
Variable data printing (VDP) is the ability to print unique information on each individual label within a production run - serial numbers, QR codes, batch numbers, expiry dates or personalised names.
We use our HP Indigo WS6000 for all VDP work. This is common in pharmaceutical and supplement applications where each unit needs a unique lot code.
If your product requires VDP, we manage the data file preparation, print verification (every code is verified scannable during production) and rejection of any units where the printed code fails the scan test.
