Artwork and Backing Card Design

The backing card is often the most visually important part of a blister pack. It is what the consumer reads, what the retailer handles and what carries all your information.

Our pre-press team checks every backing card file for colour accuracy, bleed, barcode integrity and text legibility at print size. For pharmaceutical and supplement blisters, we also verify that required text elements like lot number field, expiry date, warnings and active ingredient information are correctly placed and at the minimum required font size.

If you need a backing card designed from scratch, our team can handle that too.

Child-Resistant Blister Packs

Child-resistant blister packs require a specific laminate construction, typically a push-through foil sealed under a peel-off paper layer. To access the product, the consumer must peel back the paper layer and then push through the foil. This dual action is what makes the format child-resistant.
